My grandmother didn't go to high school, but she was a wise and Godly woman.
One evening after an exhausting day of trying to accomplish all I had to do, I complained that there wasn't enough hours in the day. We sat in her small kitchen, at an old formica metal trimmed table next to a white, dented stove as I whined and carried on about not having enough time to do what needed to be done.
Certain that she had my attention she said, "It's the same 24 hours Jesus had and He sho' did more than you."
I bristled a little, agreed with her, and then continued to explain (as if she didn't know) how motherhood, work and keeping a home was a time-consuming affair. And after a while of listening to me carry on, she leaned across the table and said, "Time ain't the problem. You is the problem."
"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21
