It's a new year, so that means it's time to reveal my "one word". You remember... that one word that will help shape your next 365 days. Last year I chose the word (or rather the word chose me) "authentic" and I'll admit that it was a difficult word to live.
Authenticity leaves you wide open for ridicule, hurt and misunderstandings, and it will call your bluff at the most inopportune moments when you have decide if you'll hurt, ridicule or contribute to a misunderstanding. But, on the other side of this conversation, I found that to "be real or genuine" (as Websters define "authenticity") is to discover wildly beautiful and intriguing things about yourself that you may not have ever uncovered before. So, yeah... living "authentically."
My word for 2015 is: Life ("Chayim")
Websters Dictionary defines the word "Life" as:
: The ability to grow, change, etc., that separates plants and animals from things like water or rocks
: The period of time when a person is alive
: The experience of being alive
