"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through the experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired and success achieved." - Helen Keller
Thanks, friends for your kind comments over the past few weeks. My vision is clearing and your encouraging words and thoughts have inspired me to think more deeply about this space. I don't have all of the answers yet, but I'm ready to discover them along the way.
While at the doctor's office, this picture on the wall, titled, "Every Woman Should" has intrigued me so much that I want to share it with you in a new weekly series appropriately named: "Every Woman Should..."
In addition to my regular blogging, on each Tuesday (beginning today), I'll post about the next line in the poem/essay. I'm looking forward to hearing about your experiences in either the comment section or on your blogs (just please be sure to link back here).
So, the first line of this poem/essay tells us that every woman should:
1. "Know how to use a stick shift"
In 2009, I wrote about my experience and if you'd like to read it again (or for the first time) click here.
