My blood pressure was 148/100. My total cholesterol was 255. My glucose, 103.
I have to eat better. I must exercise daily. I have to cut back on my sodium. I need to drink more water. If I'm going to live a quality life, I must make some drastic changes.
Each Friday, I'll share with you one thing I'm doing to improve my life but, I need you to help. Each week, please share your one thing that you do or have done to improve your quality of life. It's doesn't have to be a physical thing or a diet tip or recipe --- it can be anything that makes you feel better, look better, think better.... (you know what I mean).
This week was not a very good one, as far as physical activity. Not one day did I go out for a walk or hit the treadmill. I did however, clean my kitchen like someone who was about to get a visit from the health department. I cleaned out every cabinet and every nook and corner. I was bending and kneeling and reaching and twisting for several hours --- so, I guess, maybe that counts as exercise because my body feels as though I'd been doing Zumba for two days straight.
And the other day, I mixed up a protein shake for breakfast (whey isolate protein, flaxseed, soy milk (YUK!) and a smidgeon of vanilla extract). It's strange, but after I drank it, I wasn't hungry at all until much later in the day.
Okay, now it's your turn. What one thing did you do this week towards good health?
